Chief Operating Officer (COO)
UWC South East Asia (UWCSEA), a leading international school in Singapore with two campuses, around 5,650 students and 1,000 staff, is seeking an experienced and mission-aligned Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the College as senior leader and member of the College Leadership Team.
Reporting directly to the Head of College, and working closely with the Board of Governors, the COO will be responsible for ensuring the operations of the College support the educational programme and the UWCSEA mission of education as a force for peace and a sustainable future. The COO ensures timely and accurate data, information and insight are provided to the Board and leadership teams in order to support strategic business decisions that work to ensure the long-term financial and operational sustainability of the College.
As the College prepares for a significant campus planning exercise, the COO will play a critical role in ensuring the project is designed and resourced in line with the College strategy, including supporting negotiations with relevant authorities, developing an appropriate financial model and supporting the project team.
In partnership with the Head of College, Heads of Campus, Director of Engagement and External Relations, and senior leadership teams, the COO will help develop and deliver the College’s strategic vision for its operations, providing expertise and guidance in critical success areas. The COO attends all full Board meetings as well as relevant Board subcommittee meetings.
The COO will have the following direct reports: Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources, Director of IT, Head of Facilities and Operations, Head of Health, Safety and Risk, Head of Procurement, and College’s Legal Counsel.
