Sustainable Development

Creating a sustainable future

Address the peace and social justice challenges by raising the living standards of humanity while respecting the planetary ecological boundaries.

We all have a responsibility to protect the environment and it is the College’s commitment to ensuring that environmental stewardship becomes a major part of every child's education.

Gifts allow the College to develop both the human resources and infrastructure necessary to create exciting opportunities for our students to build the skills and understanding needed for shaping a sustainable future.

"We are able to walk the talk – to carry out conservation work hands-on and fight the extinction of species by ourselves. I think that it is projects like these that make me realise that gifts to the College allow us to make great strides in sustainability, something that lies at the core of our values.”

Arjun, Grade 12 and member of the Rainforest Restoration Project, funded by UWCSEA Foundation trustees Kirtida and Bharat Mekani

Solar for UWCSEA

Installing solar panels across three locations, this is a very real way for our community to get involved in reducing the College's carbon footprint.

Adopt a Tree

Planting trees across both campuses, this is a unique way for our community to play an active role in protecting the environment.

The Green Heart project

The Green Heart project envisages the core of the Dover Campus to be a vibrant and inspiring central space for all our community, especially our students, to connect deeply with the natural world.
