Our Planet

Sustainability is core to our mission and philosophy at UWCSEA. It is evident in the eco-projects our students research and deliver each term, in the waste-minded ways that we run our food service operation, and in our continual efforts to green our campuses and strive for energy efficiency.

From strategic alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to more operational initiatives such as solar panel installation and the planting of trees, UWCSEA seeks to reduce our carbon footprint while educating our students and broader community about the critical role we all have to play in protecting the environment.

Support for this priority allows us to complement existing sustainability curriculum and programmes by advancing strategic initiatives including green learning spaces, composting and Rainforest Restoration initiatives, conservation and environmental education and student and campus leadership opportunities.
