A Student’s Journey Into Mind-Controlled Assistive Technology
  • Story

Inspired by a visit to SG Enable, Grade 10 student Aarav developed a mind-controlled exoskeleton arm powered by Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs). Designed to restore independence for individuals living with paralysis, this project earned Aarav an invitation to the world’s largest tech conference, Web Summit in Lisbon, as its youngest speaker. There, he shared his vision for inclusive tech on a global stage, gained valuable insights from industry leaders on the importance of user experience, and showcased how student-led innovations can tackle real-world challenges.
