Rachel Leonard

Denise WAN

Originally from Vichy, France, Rachel started teaching internationally over 20 years ago in Europe and Asia. She joined UWCSEA in August 2019 as Middle School Vice Principal on East Campus. Prior to joining the College, she lived in Hong Kong, where she was Deputy Head at the French International School, and where she and her family lived for nine years.

Rachel holds a Master’s in English Literature. Her passion for the English language led her to do her Post-Graduate Teaching Qualification in England. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Communications, and has just completed a Master’s in International Educational Leadership. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, meeting new people, practising yoga, running along the East Coast Park, and all things wellbeing and hygge.

She is thrilled to be part of the UWCSEA community where she continues to be a lifelong learner and to pursue her interests in positive education, wellbeing, holistic education and leadership. She is here in Singapore with her husband, the youngest of her three children, and her dog Lucky.
