Priti Devi has been a professional for almost two decades. She worked with the global oil major Shell for 12 years in a diverse range of management roles that included External Affairs, Government Relations, Sustainable Development and Public Affairs. Her assignments with Shell covered in-country, regional and global roles and responsibilities. More recently, Priti was employed in the family office of a high net-worth investor based in Singapore before establishing her own B2C ecommerce business.
A key area of specialisation for Priti has been the planning of strategic philanthropic investments for clients and assessing the long term sustainability of grants and investments made in social, environmental and community projects. Her advisory areas cover detailed analysis of programs and projects, monitoring and evaluation, and the delivery of sustainability reports for investors.
Priti believes that the UWCSEA Foundation plays a critical role helping to harness the tremendous impact UWCSEA students have on society through their deeply embedded values of integration with, and giving back to, society. The foundation for these values is laid not just through the broad education at the school, but by the significant role that the Global Concerns programme plays in inculcating the core principle of 'giving back to society' in each student at UWCSEA.
Priti also believes that the diversity of students at UWCSEA, creates tremendous opportunity for a global reach and international collaboration to fulfil the ambitions of the Foundation and its strategic initiatives.
Married to Tarun Kataria, a professional banker, they have one daughter, currently studying for her Masters at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom, and is a graduate of UWCSEA (Class of '11) Amherst College (USA) (Class of '15).
