Anne Marie joined UWCSEA East as a Grade 5 teacher in 2011 and moved to the Middle School in 2014 as the Middle School Literacy Coach and an English teacher. Immediately prior to her appointment as Middle School Vice Principal (Academics) in 2020, she served as the Head of Digital Learning for the East Campus. Before joining the College, Anne Marie taught in international schools in Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Her experience in international schools extends to her own primary school education in Venezuela and Ecuador.
Anne Marie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is passionate about the relationship between curriculum and pedagogy. A Literacy workshop leader, she also consults with other international schools globally.
She loves the joy of teaching and learning in a community that strives to live its mission. Anne Marie enjoys being a partner in the planning, teaching, and parent collaboration that are focused on student learning to enable our students to make positive changes in their world. She is an active supporter of the Amala High School student Focus Group in their collaborations with the Amala team to provide high quality and relevant education to refugee students around the world.
Anne Marie is here in Singapore with her husband where she enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, and walking around the green spaces.
