Allison Ziemer

Denise WAN

Allison joined UWCSEA as a Grade 2 classroom teacher in August 2002. Since joining UWCSEA, she has held various classroom teaching and leadership positions. Currently Allison is a Vice-Principal in the Junior School. Allison has 19 years teaching experience and has taught a range of age levels.

Allison graduated from the University of Victoria in Canada with a Bachelor of Education and recently went on to complete a Masters in Education. She began her teaching career in small rural school in northern Canada before leaving to come to Singapore.

Allison is a passionate educator who endeavors to make the Junior School a place where all children feel a sense of belonging and can achieve their potential. She is dedicated to working with young people to develop their confidence and find their strengths.

In her free time, Allison enjoys reading, walking, listening to podcasts and traveling with her family. She is married to Scott Ziemer, who is the Head of Grade 4, and they have 2 children here at UWC. Her daughter Riley is finishing Middle School and her son, Ty, is only a few years behind.
