UWCSEA Dover Phoenix Volleyball teams participated in the SEASAC competitions! Huge congratulations to our boys who took home the gold for the first time, and the girls' team who came in 3rd. Fantastic job to all!
Grade 4 and 5 students dressed up and boogied down for the Tabitha GC Halloween Disco. With exciting competitions for the best dancers and musical statues contests, our Junior School students had a great time for a greater cause: supporting Tabitha GC, a sustainable non-profit organisation that works to make a phenomenal difference to the lives of the poorest families in Cambodia. Thank you to all involved.
We're happy to welcome Mabel Gan, author of the book The Ghost who Pinched Me, to UWCSEA East! She worked with Grade 6 English/Humanities classes as they study units about writing personal narratives and historical fiction. Thank you Mabel!
The Jolabokaflod book fair is happening at the RBT Foyer! Borrowing the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod (directly translated to mean 'Christmas book flood’), this tradition encourages people to buy books to give to friends, family, and members of their local communities as presents to mark and celebrate Christmas, anniversaries, holidays, and other festive and faith-based occasions. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Global Concerns.
This year, as part of Personal and Social Education, all Grade 5 students are taking part in the Peer Support Leadership Programme. The programme aims to build community amongst the students across the Junior School, increasing their overall sense of belonging and wellbeing within the student body.
Primary School students and parents are connecting through this week's Learning Share sessions at UWCSEA East, looking at daily activities through their child's perspective and gaining valuable insights in their child's learning.
