K1-Grade 8 day students

 

 

 

 

1 September  onwards, for entry the following academic year

  1. Reviewed against entrance criteria
  2. Eligibility determined within a month of application being submitted
  3. If additional assessment needed, the eligibility review can take longer
  4. Eligible applicants are placed in the ‘pool’ for consideration prior to each offer period

 

November: first round of offers for August entry

February: second round of offers for August entry

April: third (and smallest) round of offers for August entry

May-July: offers to fill late leaver places for August entry only

October-December: offers for January entry only

Please note that Grade 8 boarding offers are made from March onwards.

Grade 9, Grade 10 FIB, Grade 11 IB Diploma

Day and boarding students

Grade 8 boarding students

1 September  onwards, for entry the following academic year

  1. Reviewed against entrance criteria
  2. Eligibility determined within a month of application being submitted
  3. If additional assessment needed, the eligibility review can take longer
  4. Eligible applicants invited to an Immersion Day scheduled between January - March (in Singapore), or to assessments/interviews during one of our Outreach Visits (November - March).
March - April: all High School, including High School and Grade 8 Boarding offers

May - July: offers to fill late leaver places for August entry only

Timelines for UWCSEA's August 2019 entry admissions cycle 

When can you expect to hear from us?

Regardless of when you submit your application, you can expect to hear from us at the following points in our admission cycle:

Application Acknowledgement: within 7-10 days of submitting your application

Confirmation of Meeting or Not Meeting our Entrance Criteria: within a month of submitting your application

Invitation for additional assessment, if required: within a month of submitting your application (although the actual assessment may take place later)

Invitation to attend an Immersion Day (G9, G10FIB, G11 applicants): within a month of submitting your application

K1-G8 November offer round: if you submit your application by Friday, 2 November, you will hear whether or not you are being offered a place in this round in the last week of November. If you are not offered in this round, you will be informed and will remain in consideration for the following offer rounds.

K1-G8 February offer round: if you submit your application by Friday, 18 January, you will hear whether or not you are being offered a place in this round in the last week of February. If you are not offered a place in this round, we will also let you know if there is no likelihood of your being offered a place in our final (April) round, so that you can make other plans.

K1-G8 April offer round: if you are still in the pool for consideration, or you have submitted your application by Friday, 22 March, you will hear whether or not you are being offered a place in this round in the last week of April. If you are not offered a place in this final offer round, we may invite you to ‘opt-in’ to remain under consideration for a late leaver place for August entry or for a place that may open up for January entry.

High School Day and G8-12 Boarding applicants March and April offers: if you attended an Immersion Day, you will hear whether or not you are being offered a place during these two months. If you are not offered a place, we may invite you to ‘opt-in’ to remain under consideration for a late leaver place for August entry.
