Frequently Asked Questions about the Impact of Giving Gala


Q: Can I purchase my ticket at the door?

A: No. Tickets must be purchased in advance.


Q: Can I purchase a ticket for a friend?

A: Yes, when you purchase the ticket there is a section on the form to enter their name.


Q: What does the ticket price include?

A: Champagne cocktail, 4-course dinner, free-flow wines and entertainment. A portion of the ticket also goes to supporting college programs.


Q: Will you mail me an actual ticket? 

A: No, physical tickets will not be issued. Closer to the event date we will contact you requesting guest names and meal preferences. You can also take a sneak peek at our auction items.


Q: Who do I contact to inform my dietary requirements?

A: We will contact you for meal preferences as we get closer to the date.


Q: Is the Gala only for families at UWC?

A: No! Anyone (parents, staff, friends) with an interest in supporting UWC is welcome to attend.


Q: Can students attend the evening?

A: Although this is not intended to be an event for students, high school students may attend with their parents. Please note that each guest requires a ticket.


Q: How do we let you know if we want to sit at a particular table?

A: Once you purchase your ticket, please send an email to to let us know who you wish to sit with.


Q: I want to come but I don’t have a table. What can I do?

A: Once you purchase your ticket, please send an email to to let us know that you don’t have an assigned table, we will be putting several tables of singles or couples together.


Q: I want to come but I will be on my own. Do you have a table for singles?

A: Yes. Once you purchase your ticket send an email to to let us know and we will place you.


Q: How much of the ticket price goes toward the college?

A: Our team is working very hard to keep overhead low, and our aim is that around 50% of ticket price will go directly to support the college. This will depend on our final number of tickets sold and final expenses.


About the night 

Q: What time does the Gala start?

A: 6:30 p.m.


Q: What is the dress code?

A: Black tie


Q: Where are the funds going?

A: 100% of funds raised on the night will go toward college programs.


Q: Can I support a particular program on the night?

A: Yes! We will have a program auction towards the end of the evening where we will be offering an array of college programs up for sponsorship.
