Rhea Ramirez (Philippines)

WAG Coach

Rhea comes from the Philippines, where she was a member of the Philippine National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team.

Her athletic career started when she was 9 years old, largely due to the influence of her father and four older brothers who, at the time, were also members of Philippine National Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Team. She had a strong foundation in several sports like swimming, judo and martial arts, but decided to focus on Rhythmic Gymnastics as she found it to be the most challenging and rewarding.

After her athletic career, she decided to share her knowledge and experience in sports through teaching kids of all ages. She coached full-time at Philippine Gymnastics Athletic Academy for 5 years, where she handled recreational and competitive classes. She also worked as a part-time coach in the British School of Manila, Tictac Tumble Gymnastics for Kiddos and Jubilee Christian Academy.

Coach Rhea enjoys coaching a lot and is excited to be sharing her love for the sport with the kids at UWCSEA East.
