Sports at UWCSEA
Physical activity is seen as an integral part of life at UWCSEA. Our campuses have superb indoor and outdoor sporting facilities which provide a wide range of competitive, development and recreational sports to be offered throughout the year. We offer a pathway for sporting development from Kindergarten through Grade 12 in a wide range of individual and team sports that cater to a variety of interests and levels of performance.
Each school and campus has its own representative teams which compete in leagues in Singapore, including the ACSIS competition, in a wide range of sports. These competitions start in the 8&U age groups in some sports and continue to senior level at 18&U age groups.
There are currently representative teams on Dover Campus in badminton, basketball, climbing, cross country, cricket (boys), football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, netball (girls), rugby (boys), sailing, softball, swimming, tennis, touch (girls) and volleyball. East Campus runs representative teams in badminton, basketball, climbing, cross country, cricket (Junior School and Middle School boys), football, golf, gymnastics, netball (Junior School and Middle School girls), rugby (boys), softball, sailing, swimming, tennis, touch (girls) and volleyball.
Dover and East Senior teams also compete in all the tournaments in the South East Asia Activity Conference (SEASAC), providing a tremendous opportunity to compete against some of the best international schools in Southeast Asia.
Teaching staff lead programmes in these sports with the help of qualified external coaches. Many sports are also offered at development level to provide opportunities for students of all abilities.
