Read about Uniting Nations Day, an annual day of celebrating the diverse learning in our Primary School Music Programme. Students from K1–G5 come together to showcase their learning and musical abilities.
The Institute of Policy Studies hosted the annual IPS Conference from 22–29 January 2024. Four students from UWCSEA East Campus and four from Dover Campus partook in the online and in-person conference.
UWCSEA East hosted the 9th edition of the "Joutes Oratoires" on 30 November 2023, a debate tournament in French that was originally initiated by the Association of French Teachers in Singapore (APFS). The tournament involved 52 participants from many institutions in Singapore, both international and local.
Students on East Campus are putting their minds together to rally their peers around geopolitics. Modelled after the Arctic Council (AC), an inter-governmental forum fostering cooperation among Arctic States, Indigenous Peoples, and residents, MAC focuses on sustainable development and environmental protection in the Arctic. The team embraced key areas around consensus, indigenous participation, and sustainable development—concepts aligned with our UWCSEA mission. After months of hard work, they hosted the MAC@East conference for Middle School students in November 2023, the first MAC in the Eastern Hemisphere and the first Middle School MAC worldwide.
UWCSEA East buzzed with excitement when Chicken-based Learning was introduced at the start of the 2022/2023 school year. The brainchild of East Campus’ Environmental Sustainability and Stewardship team, this programme offers numerous learning opportunities that relate to Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and that engage students around sustainability, urban farming, and permaculture while connecting them to the natural world and animals.
