A culture of giving and service is core to who we are at UWCSEA. This spirit of generosity binds us together and fuels our impact. And each year, contributions through the UWCSEA Annual Fund bring this impact to life by supporting key priorities in the areas of Our People, Our Programmes and Our Planet. The Annual Fund offers an opportunity for supporters at all levels to collectively make a meaningful and immediate difference in the lives of our students. Together, we can more ambitiously deliver on our mission to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.
In this 50th anniversary year at UWCSEA, it is clearer than ever that if we harness the collective impact and resources of our community, we will achieve more together than any of us will achieve alone. Donations from parents, alumni, staff and students allow us to do more of what we do best: equip young people with the skills and qualities to build a better world.
Whether it’s through support for flagship initiatives like investing in our extraordinary scholars, new programmes that push the boundaries of what is currently possible, or unrestricted gifts to allow us the flexibility to support the greatest needs of the College at any given time-the annual commitment of our community provides the tremendous gift of opportunity to our students. This impact is felt not only here at UWCSEA, but around the world in the communities where our students go on to live, work and create meaningful change.
In the 2021/2022 school year, we are excited to launch our 50th Anniversary Annual Fund with two incredibly powerful ways our community can join together to make a difference. First, the Scholarship Programme remains at the heart and soul of our mission. This programme offers a life-changing opportunity for young students of promise and potential from around the world who otherwise would not have access to the mission-driven education UWCSEA uniquely provides. Secondly, new this year, the Innovation Incubator catalyses new and exciting ideas from our own community, giving educators the opportunity to see their best ideas flourish and help students thrive in new ways.
Thank you for your consideration and support in this milestone 50th Anniversary year for the College. Together, our UWCSEA community has the power to invest today in the changemakers of tomorrow–changemakers who will carry their UWCSEA values with them as they help build a more peaceful and sustainable future for all of us.
