A little bit of hope goes a long way (in Physics!): Lovely Taidy '11

I was the only one in his HL Mathematics class who did not take Physics, so I was barely scraping a pass in his class. I remember standing in his cold classroom on the top floor of the old Mathematics block when he asked me what grade I thought I deserved on my Predicted Grades. I shrugged in embarrassment for I thought him crazy for asking me that question. I can't remember when he said exactly, but I definitely remember inferring that he would put a grade higher than my average, as a sign of his confidence in me. And now, as a teacher, I try to instil that sense of hope and confidence in my students as well.
