Foundation in Art stems from UWCSEA: Sophia Gunkel '08
Art was always my favourite class as it allowed me to fully express myself and channel my creativity. I believe this is the most crucial aspect to being an artist, and having been given the space to develop this creative skillset from a young age on really allowed me to build and understand my art.
I was a student at UWCSEA for 10 years and therefore had the pleasure of being taught by pretty much the whole art department at various points in time.
I also have to mention how important my fellow art peers were. The support and encouragement amongst one another was paramount and above all inspirational. I will never forget the many fun late nights and weekends that were spent finishing our projects. The support and guidance of the UWCSEA community left me with some of the most wonderful memories that I think back to often and am forever grateful for.
