PA East is a volunteer organisation which collaborates closely with our friends at PA Dover and the College to encourage parents to support the mission, values and strategy of UWCSEA.
Message from the Chair and Vice Chair
On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA) East, we welcome you to the East Campus community comprising students, parents, staff, Board members and alumni.
PA East’s mission is simply : “Building Community Together”.
We have a diverse committee of 15 members this year with a good mix of experienced and first-time volunteers from different nationalities, language groups, careers and interests.
PA committee engages parent volunteers to hold various community-building activities and events like Family Festival, the Grade 12 Graduation as well as the High School Careers Fair with the help of Nationality groups and various school departments. PA Committee Members liaise with school leadership to channel the voices of parents on school life, community, culture and other big-ticket topics.

Today we live in a vastly different era from the time when the school and the PA were established, and we must address these new challenges.
- Less volunteering bandwidth from growing number of working parents
- Pandemic cancelling most offline events and activities
- Different needs and asks of new generation of parents
Thus, the PA will build on the work of the past years like sustainability, service,
events and activities. Meanwhile, we will prioritise our 2020-2021 PA on initiatives
that will have long term impact, eg:
- Upgrading communication tools reaching more parents more efficiently
- Building wider volunteer base by engaging more new blood
- Adapting traditional activities and events to hybrid (online+offline) mode
Every parent is a beneficiary of the association and is welcomed to get involved in
PA activities at your own interest and time. Any amount of contribution is appreciated and invaluable to the community. Our comfortable lounge, across the canteen offers a quiet air-conditioned space with complimentary tea and coffee where parents can socialise, work and relax. There are wifi, computer work stations and a meeting room available for parents use from 7am-6pm daily.
