Boarding at UWCSEA East Campus
Message from the Director of Boarding, East Campus
A very warm welcome to the UWCSEA East Campus residential community!
At Tampines House, our students encounter a learning environment in which they can develop skills and qualities that prepare them for living independently after graduating from High School. Residential students become better self-managers and more resilient as they learn how to work, socialise and follow their passions independently, while under the guidance and care of the boarding team. They also become more self-aware thanks to the interaction with students from a broad range of cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our global community contributes to a unique programme of events and activities such as “My Story” (talks by members of the community sharing their own personal story), themed dinners, movie nights and even impromptu Bollywood dance flash mobs or home-cooked African dinners!
The boarding team is as diverse as our student body, with members from 15 different nationalities and varied backgrounds. We have six resident staff, assistant houseparents, boarding services executives and a boarding intern—all of us working together to ensure that the students under our care have the best possible learning experience.
Through this website, our social media (@TampinesHouse, our Tampines House blog or my own blog) and our admissions materials, I encourage you take time to explore our residential community. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for considering UWCSEA.
