UWCSEA welcomes students to the new school year

UWCSEA welcomes students to the new school year

The 2017/2018 school year kicked off today at UWC South East Asia! We extend a very warm welcome to all of the new students, families and staff who have joined UWCSEA this academic year, and we welcome back all returning students, families and staff.

This year's enrolment is our largest yet. With 3,022 students on Dover Campus and 2,573 on East Campus - for a total of 5,595 across the College - UWCSEA is one of the largest international schools in the world. Across our truly international student body, 100 different nationalities from six continents are represented. In addition, there are 69 different languages spoken among our students.

This year we have 102 scholarship students from 55 countries, most of whom were awarded selective scholarships by the UWC national committee in their home country. These passionate, capable and talented individuals enrich the College community by sharing their culture and life experiences, providing all our students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of different nations, cultures and global issues. Generous gifts to the College through the UWCSEA Foundation have supported many of these scholarships.

We wish everyone an exciting year of learning ahead as we strive to educate for peace and a sustainable future!
