During the half-term break, the 19&U (A) Girls Touch team traveled to Brisbane, Australia, to gain experience in some intense matches against some of the best teams in the world. Even as one of the strongest teams in Singapore, the team was challenged, often getting broken down on defense, while also finding it harder to score on attack. Despite this, the team played with a commendable fighting spirit, which will definitely help their game moving forwards.
This was a great learning experience for the team, as it allowed them to improve their game, playing with and watching a number of incredibly talented teams. They hope the lessons learnt against such high quality opposition will allow them to refine their game in time for the season, as they look win both the ACSIS and SEASAC titles this coming year.
