East Dragons compete in UWCSEA Golf Championships

The UWCSEA Golf Championships took place at Pulau Bintan, Indonesia, from 9-10 September 2017 on the Jack Nicholas 18-hole golf course within the Bintan Lagoon Resort complex. With a strong contingent of 11 boys and one girl representing East Campus the weekend got off to a wet start with storms hampering the competition's early progress. Thankfully the sun came out and play resumed with some cracking golf and low scores being posted.

Congratulations go to the winners and runners-up as listed below, special mention to Yiru Chen (only female golfer) and Arhan Singh (only Middle School golfer). Also well done and thank you to the eight boys who were competing in their first school golf competition.

Special thanks to John Bush for organising the event and Julie Martens and Neil McCulloch for helping the students and the running of this joint Dover and East competition.

Champion: Callum Woodward, Grade 11
Runner up: Anvay Dixit, Grade 11

Special mentions:
Yiru Chen, Grade 11 - only East female golfer
Arhan Singh, Grade 8 - only East Middle School golfer
