Two Unique Learning Environments

Both UWCSEA East and Dover campuses offer highly specialised environments tailored to deliver the holistic learning programme of Academics, Activities, Outdoor Education, Personal and Social Education, and Service.

UWCSEA is the only international school in Singapore to provide on-site residential boarding for students in Grades 9 to 12.

While each campus has its own unique identity, your child will receive the same calibre of education, language support, outdoor learning opportunities, and university advising at both our campuses.

Location and Size

As student transport and daily commutes can impact family life, the proximity of your home in Singapore to our Dover and East campuses is an important consideration.

  • UWCSEA Dover is located in the West of Singapore, on Dover Road, within an established educational hub near the National University of Singapore. It is home to more than 3,000 students representing more than 80 nationalities.

The Dover community plans to relocate to a new, purpose-built, sustainable campus at Tengah in August 2032.

  • UWCSEA East is located in Tampines, in the northeast of Singapore, making it highly accessible for families living in the central, eastern, and northern districts of the island. It is home to more than 2,800 students representing more than 80 nationalities.

Overview of UWCSEA Facilities

UWCSEA Dover

  • Opened in 1971, the sprawling Dover Campus features mature trees, open spaces, and a newly rejuvenated "Green Heart". Interconnecting, universal-access walkways connect the different school and subject-specific blocks, along with our world-class sports, performance, and Arts facilities.
  • Primary School classrooms are designed around collaborative grade-level 'pods' and shared spaces that open directly into outdoor learning environments to foster early independence.
  • Academic and service learning are further anchored by the campus's unique environmental infrastructure, which includes a dedicated rainforest tree nursery, a composting centre, and an outdoor classroom set within the "Green Heart" to bring sustainability to life.
  • Dover Campus provides exceptional creative and athletic facilities, with five distinct performance spaces—including a heritage-listed 400-seat main hall—alongside specialised sports facilities like a FIFA-certified rugby pitch and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
  • Design-thinking and entrepreneurial spirits are nurtured in the IDEAS Hub, a collaborative "maker-space" open to all grades where students can tinker, build, and bring their original concepts to life.

UWCSEA East

  • Opened in 2011, East Campus is a global benchmark for vertical architectural design and sustainability. Four interconnected multi-storey blocks are home to Primary, Middle, and High Schools, along with nine outdoor classrooms providing unique learning environments across the campus.
  • Classrooms boast highly flexible, modular layouts integrated with advanced digital infrastructure, featuring dedicated indoor-outdoor learning pods for our youngest learners, and a Primary School playground designed by students, among several other play areas.
  • A 420-seat tiered auditorium and a 270-seat black box theatre are among the professional-standard venues supporting creative pursuits, alongside specialised drama and dance studios, a ceramics studio, and a dedicated filmmaking studio and screening room.
  • Outdoor Education, sports, and Activities are supported on campus by specialised installations, including a covered outdoor climbing wall, an urban abseiling site, and a state-of-the-art gymnastics centre.
  • Innovation@East is a robust incubator and hub where students receive mentorship from as they design physical and digital solutions to local and global challenges.
