In most grades, the College adds an additional 22 places in August each year. All applicants who meet the entrance criteria are placed on the application roll to be considered for one of these places, and for places made available by students leaving the College.
As demand typically exceeds supply, once applicants have met our entrance criteria we then, as part of our commitment to diversity, take other factors into account when allocating the available places. These factors are related to range of ability, personality and interests as well as gender, age and the extent to which the applicant’s background adds to the diversity of the College in line with our mission.
Further criteria in the allocation of places include whether the applicant has a sibling currently enrolled at the same campus and whether or not they, or their parents, have previously studied at UWCSEA.
