UWCSEA Community Agreements

At UWCSEA we believe that the way we interact with each other as adults is as important as how we interact with students. Our Community Agreements, a series of ‘We…’ statements of behaviour describe what our values look like in action.

The Agreements are not a contract or a policy to follow (those are elsewhere) but are instead more like a compact; specific behaviours that set the tone and inform the intangible, subjective, emotional aspects that make any school successful. We hope they capture the spirit of care, of hope and of ambition for our community.

These agreements come from multiple workshops with parents, students, colleagues and alumni over recent years that have explored the link between our values (what we expect from ourselves and each other) and the behaviours (actions) that demonstrate them. The exciting work was made all the more rewarding by the evident commitment our whole community has to living our values.
