Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ)
The UWC Mission is to make education a force to unite people, nations and culture for peace and a sustainable future. We are committed to creating a community in which all members feel safe and secure, and know that their authentic selves and individual differences are accepted with respect and care.
We are committed to examining our structures, processes and systems, to address inequity and harm, in order to promote cultural shifts and centre marginalised voices, and ensure people are treated fairly regardless of identity or status.
We acknowledge that DEIJ is an ongoing and evolving process and that different community members will be at different stages of this journey. Belonging for all is an outcome of our DEIJ work and you can read our Belonging Statement here.
