Head of College
Senior Leadership
At UWCSEA, we believe that the organisation is strengthened and sustained by leaders who are mission-aligned and who keep student learning and wellbeing at the heart of all decisions. Leaders are expected to be competent, compassionate and committed and to act with integrity and in line with the College values. A set of core and leadership competencies help leaders to reflect on their practice and their impact on others. We are fortunate to have highly experienced leaders contributing to the development of the College and its programmes at all levels.
UWCSEA is a complex organisation, requiring a large network of individuals and teams working together to ensure that students are receiving the best possible educational experience every day. While we view all teachers as leaders in their own right, our senior leadership teams are accountable to the long-term future of the College. The senior leadership teams consist of the Board of Governors (BOG), the College Leadership Team (CLT), the Learning Leadership Team (LLT), the Dover Leadership Team (DLT) and the East Leadership Team (ELT). These teams are supported by the Dual Campus Operational Leaders Team (OLT), who oversee key business, administrative and operational functions.
The Board of Governors sets direction, establishes policies and ensures accountability. The CLT works closely with Governors and is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the College's learning programme and operations are aligned to one another, and to our strategy and vision. The LLT is accountable for student learning, experience and wellbeing across the College, while the DLT and ELT focus on campus-specific strategy, implementation and management. The OLT are responsible for setting direction and ensuring effective implementation of business support functions in line with College strategy.
