Staff

Each campus has its own academic and administrative staff to support the delivery of UWCSEA's world-class education. Each school is managed by a Principal, assisted by Vice Principals and Heads of Grade or Department. Both campuses are overseen by the Head of College and have the same Board of Governors.

The Dover Campus currently employs 244 teaching and 222 support staff. The East Campus currently employs 172 teaching staff, and 120 support staff.

Most teachers are from the UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America, although over 20 nationalities are represented on staff. With experience in a variety of educational systems this provides a diverse learning community. All staff are fully-qualified, and most come to UWCSEA with experience in teaching in international schools, delivering IBD, IB PYP and inquiry-based curriculums.

Teaching staff are expected to contribute wholeheartedly to the provision of the Colleges range of of experiential and service-based programmes in addition to their teaching. This includes supporting students in their work in Social Services programmes, Global Concerns projects, numerous sporting teams and drama, musical and artistic projects.
