Senior School - Dover
During the final two years of College the vast majority of students in Grade 11 and 12 students prepare for an IB Diploma, an internationally recognised pre-university qualification.
The Senior School staff believe that the student experience should be a positive and enjoyable one; that the College should be a place where opportunities are provided and potential is realised. The staff help students in an enormous variety of ways. Some specialise in specific academic areas, such as examinations and university applications, others assist with the extended essay, while heads of grade oversee the student's whole school experience.
Students are selected for the IB Diploma Programme in Grade 11 and the College's excellent results reflect not only the hard work and involvement of the students, but also the accuracy of this selection. Students are selected on much more than simply their academic profile. Commitment to service, a willingness to involve themselves in the many opportunities offered by the College and a belief that action and service can make a difference are equally important.
The small number of students for whom the full IB Diploma Programme is not suitable, study for a reduced range of subject-specific IB Certificates issued by the IBO.
